In early May, we ventured to one of our favorite spots in the Denver metro area for photos — Roxborough State Park — with Mary and Charlie to capture their engagement.
Roxborough State Park features stunning red rock formations, similar to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre and South Valley Park, but without the crowds. It’s a bit of a hike, particularly in rush hour, but we were rewarded with great late afternoon light and a solid sunset.
Mary and Charlie became engaged last fall and reached out to us because they were looking for Catholic wedding photographers in Denver who understand the sanctity and beauty of the nuptial wedding Mass — a privilege for us to witness throughout the year.
They were funny, great to work with, and were willing to tolerate Dan’s crazy ideas of walking all over the park looking for the best light. Dan nerded out with Charlie and Mary on accounting and finance topics — he’s in the middle of an executive MBA at The Wharton School — while we walked to various locations.
We’re looking forward to capturing their wedding later this year!
