Stacey and Andrew reached out to us in mid-March, hoping to get married before the coronavirus shut everything down. They had planned to marry in Las Vegas, and by that point, most of the United States and world were canceling bookings — and that included weddings.
They quickly tried to reschedule their event in Colorado, but by then it was clear that the coronavirus was a very different kind of global event. So instead, they married each other in a small Zoom ceremony at a family home.
Still, they wanted to be sure to document the occasion, so later that summer Stacy reached out to us about setting up a wedding photoshoot with her decked out in a gorgeous white wedding dress, and Andrew dressed sharply in a blue suit. Even if it wasn’t the actual wedding, they wanted those moments.
Red Rocks was always a favorite spot for outdoor activities, so we arranged to meet them there over the summer, when restrictions had eased and spending time outdoors was welcome.
We recreated the first look, and then we explored around the park with them, ending after a couple of hours near the famous tunnel carved out of the rocks just beyond the Amphitheatre.
