Louise and Alex attend our church at Our Lady of Lourdes in Denver, Colorado. With the church under construction, though, they had to move their ceremony, and they couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place. They married in early January at Christ the King in Evergreen, Colorado, on a beautiful Friday in the foothills above Denver.
The sun shone brightly overhead, and the ground was still covered in snow from a recent storm. Inside, speckles of light filtered through the stained glass windows, coloring the floor of the sanctuary. The church’s interior reminds me of a mountain cabin, filled with cross-crossing large wooden beams. It’s a small and intimate space.
The nuptial Mass was the focal point of the entire day, and it’s one the reasons we love being Catholic wedding photographers in Denver. Alex and Louise both were patient and gracious, laughing and loving each other with their whole hearts. Celebrating the wedding was their priest, Fr. Brian Larkin, from Our Lady of Lourdes. Later, guests and friends danced and celebrated in the nearby hall.
