We love when our couple’s make their wedding days totally their own, and so we were thrilled when Sarah and Joel invited us to photograph their intimate wedding ceremony at Sapphire Point near Breckenridge, Colorado. The weather was threatening rain the entire morning, but graciously held off until we we were finished with portraits just next to the Snake River Arm of Dillon Reservoir.
After, we drove up Swan Mountain Road to Sapphire Point overlooking the reservoir. The resulting cloudy sky made for a perfect, dramatic backdrop.
Both Sarah and Joel are professional musicians and music instructors, so it was important to them to incorporate live music into their ceremony, which meant we all got to enjoy a trio of talented artists before a handful of family and friends. The setting was beautiful, and the love that Sarah and Joel both showed for each other shined through clearly. We enjoyed some moments photographing them together after the ceremony ended.
