Manor House Wedding in Ken-Caryl Valley: Kevin and Ellery

The setting: a mansion, circa 1914, surrounded by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, on a warm, summer day in Colorado. The cast: Kevin and Ellery and their beloved family and friends. The mission: to get hitched.

We were honored and thrilled to photograph the wedding of Kevin and Ellery earlier this summer in Littleton, Colo. As you may remember from when we shared photos from their engagement session last fall, Kevin is my cousin. In a lot of ways his family and mine grew up together in the same little neighborhood, so it was a particular joy to get to document his wedding. An event made even more joyful by the kind, thoughtful woman there to become his wife. Throw in the Manor House — an estate you would be hard-pressed to improve upon given its history (it once hosted President Theodore Roosevelt) and the amazing grounds that surround it — and a guest list of fun-loving people, and you truly have yourself a celebration to remember.

Thank you to both Kevin and Ellery and their lovely families who welcomed us in for the day to document this beautiful celebration. Congratulations!

Lambertville Station Wedding Photos in New Jersey: Jenn & Jeff

One of our favorite weddings this summer took place in a beautiful colonial town on the East Coast, right along the Delaware River: Lambertville, N.J. Two of Dan’s college friends — and former University of Richmond running teammates — were fixing to be hitched. We were honored to be there to photograph the day.

But there’s a thing about the East Coast in the summer: It gets rather hot and humid, the latter of which is foreign to anyone who lives in the Rocky Mountains. Still, you couldn’t even really feel it in the excitement surrounding the last few hours of preparation before Jeff and Jenn met each other down the aisle.

Both the ceremony and the reception took place at Lambertville Station. And the town surrounding the place was as perfect an East Coast enclave you could ask for, rich in Revolutionary War and U.S. colonial history.

Beautiful colors, natural light and the joy and laughter expressed by both Jenn and Jeff throughout the day made this wedding a delight to document. Jenn and Jeff: We love you both, and wish you many happy years together!

Paul and Jenna

This wedding took us to Pennsylvania and into a story 11 years in the making.

Paul and Jenna were high school sweethearts. To see them now, you can imagine what that first spark looked like because they still love so fully and happily.

We had an absolutely wonderful time traveling out east and join them in such a beautiful setting and beautiful romance.

Thank you, Paul and Jenna for welcoming us into your day. All the best to you both!
